I meant a 36 act score and I'm # 4 or 5 in my class of 108.

You should apply anywhere, but make sure you have a safety school. Top colleges get so many applicants that they have to turn down more people than they accept. I don't think you're behind at all, January 1st is generally an acceptable due date for applications.

If you think you'd like to play volleyball in college (and assuming you're not some Olympic quality athlete), check out Division Three schools. They can't give athletic scholarships, but they give academic ones for which you would surely qualify.

My suggestion is Washington University in Missouri. Its a private school with great academic and athletic standards. It is also a very social school.

This is a pretty good question - both of my older children went thru the same thing.

Go to www.usnews.com and their "Best Colleges" site. Pay the $14.95 for the premium service.

With your scores, GPA, and activities, you only want to consider the colleges that are rated here. You can see what colleges accepted last entering class for GPAs and SATs - and some ACTs.

It is getting late for you to be applying, so you better get going on this - today.

Remember, you have to be happy at the school. My kid who went 85 miles away had a great time and did quite well. The child who swore she'd hate to be close to home went 600 miles away and was thoroughly miserable. I went across country and did well. It is all a matter of personal choice and knowing yourself.

Good luck to you

Depends on what you want to do in the future...I'd go to the library and look into some good private schools...remember these can be very expensive...however if money isnt an issue...you should consider some Ivy league schools...I heard Yale is not only a great school but beautiful campus and the kids are great...I've been to Northwestern...and its mind blowing...I cant even tell you how amazing that school is.

Since composite ACT scores only go as high as 36, there's something wrong with this question.

What do you want to do for a career? Anyway, Stanford is good, or Harvard.
