OH BOY! I am a working mom , i enjoy work but it is a necessity to have two adults working in our house to get by. I believe that children raised by a stay at home parent are lucky. I was. Children these days are by large very disrespectful, and a big factor is daycare/babysitting. When children were being soley raised by family they learned family norms and morals. In daycares they are with children who are raised differently, and act differently. I'll tell ya , when our children entered childcare we saw a huge difference, and it wasn't good. It's a real pickle.

I am for working moms as well, but I think during a baby's first two years it is vital that you spend as much time with your baby as possible. After that I would say that the best thing is to leave the baby with a relative, only use daycare if it is absolutely necessary. I was cared for at a daycare for a while, but by the time I started that (about 8) I already had good foundations from time spent with my parents to discern right from wrong and be able to entertain myself rather than sit in front of the TV or the game system my babysitter had.

I have worked since 6 weeks after my 2 kids were born. It was out of financial necessity and I kept my home clean, the kids were well fed and now they are grown. I still work
On the other hand, my boyfriends daughter calls herself a homemaker. She doesnt work. She is constantly a financial burden to her dad, She never has enough to pay her bills and she spends her days shopping at the Walmart store. or in the car running from here to there. She is plain filthy and never does her dishes. She considers selling pampered chef her part time job. The kids run naked in the house. Her 5 yr old was the only kid at the park the other day with no shoes on in 68 degree weather.
I about passed out once when her dad left a note on the fridge telling her what a great job she was doing with her kids and how proud he was of her. She was living with him for the 2nd time d/t eviction because her husband didnt make enough money at Catipillar to support his family. She is such a mess.
Some stay at home moms are really good at it. My mother raised 7 kids and never worked outside of home. She didnt have a car at home and didnt shop every day. I always felt safe and secure. We always had what we needed. I never knew what it was like not to have my mom at home. My kids on the other hand have my work number and nowdays I am just a phone call away because I keep my cell phone in my pocket. I nurse and they have been able to call me since they were 3 yrs old.
I just simply always scheduled things so I could be there at school functions and holiday gatherings. My kids grew up this way.
I think if you can financially support yourself and stay at home its great, but if you cannot, its not right to mooch off other people to make it because you would rather sit on your fat a.ss and do nothing.

Depends on what each individual person thinks is best for their situation. There is no right or wrong answer. Children taken care of by stay-at-home parents are no better adjusted than children being taken care of by someone else and vise versa.

Depends on neccesity.
It is always better for the parent to raise their child instead of day care.
