If you can't do your own homework, you're going to have some real problems getting through life. :-/

There's a difference between asking for help in figuring something out for yourself, and expecting someone to just give you the answer.

First I'm assuming this is the sum of two fractions:
x/(5x+10) + (x-3)/(x+2) = 7/5

Factor out a 5 from the denominator of the first:
x/5(x+2) + (x-3)/(x+2) = 7/5

Now multiply both sides by (x+2):
x/5 + (x-3) = 7(x+2)/5

Now multiply both sides by 5:
x + 5(x-3) = 7(x+2)

Distribute the 5 and the 7:
x + 5x - 15 = 7x + 14

Add x + 5x:
6x - 15 = 7x + 14

Group like terms:
-7x + 6x = 14 + 15
-x = 29
x = -29

But let's check our answer:
-29/(5(-29)+10) + (-29-3)/(-29+2) = 7/5
-29/(-145+10) + (-32)/(-31) = 7/5
29/135 + 32/31 = 7/5
29/135 + 160/135 = 7/5
189/135 = 7/5
7*27/5*27 = 7/5
7/5 = 7/5

So the correct answer is x = -29

Inequalities are solved the same way as equations, except if you multiply or divide by a negative number, the direction of the inequality sign changes.

a) x - 3 < -10
x < -7 (add 3 to both sides)

b) 4 - 4x > -3
-4x > -7 (I subtracted 4 from both sides)
x < 7/4 (note that the inequality changed because I had to divide by -4)

c) There's a problem here. It has an = and a <

when you do e, change the fraction to -2 and then proceed.
