I thought most folks could do that? I can identify family members and close friends just by the sound of their footsteps. Everyone has different mannerisms that makes the way that they move unique and I think it probably goes way back to our ancestors as a means of safety and possibly identifying an intruder.

Yes! I have plenty of friends and people I have seen walk in front of me to know how they walk and identify them correctly! Excuse my horrible grammar, It's a bit early for me!! I've never been in the army or any military for that matter, I'm just very observant!!

No but when I was younger and had very sharp hearing, I could sometimes identify people by their breathing. This worked particularly well in the warehouse where I worked (sound was magnified). I'd be alone in my cubicle with my back to the warehouse, someone would come in without speaking and without turning around I would sing out, "Hello, ----!" and I usually got it right.

Yes - I know everyone in my office by the way they walk, if they have keys etc. I think it is a skill that many people have but they don't realize it.

Hee hee. Yes. A few people. My brother works at the hospital a couple of blocks from my apartment. I was outside one night at 11, dark out, walking the dog. I could easily tell from 4 blocks away that it was him by his walk.

Yes, I can. I've got 6 people including me in my family, and you begin to notice who they are far away. To me, it's like telling Peter Pan from Captain Jack: easy.

Absolutely! I can tell most people I know from that alone. Or, their hand gestures when they are speaking. People are very expressive and do so uniquely.
