Another words in your opinion who is the better of the two, I know it's hard to say as each guitar player has their own style that makes them great, but a poll could help settle our arguement for the moment anyway.

Steve Vai studied guitar under the great...Joe Satriani. Seeing as Joe Satriani taught Steve Vai everything he knows, I think Joe is the better guitarist. Steve Vai is more flash, but Joe is classically trained and could probably play classical pieces that Steve Vai could never even play (like Koyunbaba).

joe satriani is like mozart, he has a magical flair and steve vai is like jerry lee lewis. but I would say all though both are masters in their own right ,satriani is better.

Satriani, imho. The man is amazing, not that they both aren't.
