Dad found a SIX INCH crack in Mom's radiator. Do you think Pep Boys would have a good radiator for cheap....for a 97' Nissan Altima?

Just replaced the radiator in my Dodge Dart a couple weeks ago. A local shop that repairs radiators wanted over $300 to re-core it. I got a brand new one (not reman, brand new) from Autozone for $165! (Hecho en mexico...thanks, NAFTA.)
A 97 Altima is a common enough car that you ought to be able to get a new radiator from a junkyard pretty cheap, but remember, the radiator you get from a junkyard is the same age as the one you're replacing. They are made out of very thin copper or aluminum, and are very delicate. So don't plan on it lasting forever.

If I were you, I would shop around. Let your finger do the walking.
Pep Boys is kind if expensive, save them for last. Pick up your
telephone book and look under Automobile and look for Radiator
repairs. Call several places before you choose the first one. Then look for a Auto shop that will be willing to replace the new
one. Pep Boys will not let you do that. The smaller the better, they are most likely to say yes, and charge you for the labor, which should be no more then $50.00 to install.

cheapest way to fix it is to pull it out and bring to a radiator shop and get it fixed

Check your local junk yard. They may have one thats like new. If you are willing to pull it yourself, probably very cheap.
