ok i tried to define this as clearly as possible but yes the greyed out one is the the one when u click "Start" then "Shut Down" and when i say i does something funny is its kinda hard to describe it really...but it's like the page breaks up and it moves in "wavey" kind of way instead of just srollin up or down....

Are you experiencing hardware or software problems? If its software you may have to try reinstalling Windows or whatever OS you have running. If its hardware then you will need to try to either replace the bad hardware such as the graphics card and what not or try reinstalling them. I havent seen a problem where just the standby button has been disabled so sounds like a software problem since you are probably taking about the button when you click Start-> shutdown right?

When you got your computer, you should have the recovery or install CDs. Those install driver CDs usually have your device upgrades and driver installs. You should try and use those CDs to reinstall your driver. Its possible that your graphics card is damaged, so you might want to take it out and then clean it. Then you can reinstall the graphics card and try starting your computer again.

When your PC is slow, it does not necessarily mean your graphics card is being funky. It can mean that you have programs running in your background that is taking up large amount of space. Try going to START, then RUN and type msconfig and hit enter. Uncheck some startup programs and reboot your computer.

You can also try going to your PC manufacturer website and download the drivers from there. If the downloading keeps failing, then try taking it to a technician and they can give a better diagnosis of your problem.

You are not defininig your problem clearly.

How can it say "device can not start"??

you must pull out graphic card, boot up your system and close down (turn off it)

Now plug in your graph card in appropriate place and boot it up, It must find drivers automatically, and you can find no problem, it should work.
I can not understand your first problem: your standby button is greyed out? what does this mean, what do you use it for?
