"A day in the life" because it shows what the Beatles were all about. Its one song that encapsulates the dueling personalities of Lennon and McCartney.
I also like the way it creeps out of nowhere right at the end of Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, just when you think the record is ending. And the crescendo in the middle and end of song is pure genius.
I could go on and on about this song, just listen to it on a good stereo with the volume set at 10.
