You're going to have to tell him, and the sooner the better! The longer it goes, the stronger his feelings are going to be, and then, when he realizes you do not love him that way, he will be deeply hurt, and probably never want anything more to do with you again.

There is no easy way to tell him. Best thing I can say is to sit down with him, tell him you know how he feels about you, and then let him know, in a gentle tone, how you feel about him. Best wishes

Sounds like this guy is moving faster than your comfort level. You should be concerned about anyone that can love you in 30 days. If he loves you, then he will respect you and want to take it at a slower pace. Tell him the way you feel and see how he reacts.

Well my brother used to be really close to my (now) best friend, but she wasn't into him either. She never told him either until she started dating his best friend whom she is now married too. My brother was hurt for a while but he is over it now and has moved on in his life. You just have to be honest with yourself. I always look at it like this: When I am married someday I need to think about the needs of my spouse first, but while I"m dating and looking for that spouse I need to think of my needs first. Just be honest with him and then give time for the friendship to heal. (dont' start dating his best friend either!) :)

be honest and tell him that although you love his company and his friendship, the boyfriend thing just dosent feel right. if he was truly your friend he will be there for you no matter what .if he leaves he was never your friend to begin withremember he may need some space to deal with some feelings but just be there for him best as you can!--good luck always

This is always a tough situation and it also shows why we date people. Sometimes when we date people we realize they just are night right for us. You just have to be honest with him and tell him how you feel. Ultimately he is responsible for his own feelings and actions on this matter and if he was truly your friend then he will understand. If he gets mad at you then you know that underneath it all he wasn't ever your friend.

Just tell him you don't want him as a lover. Don't get me wrong, it'll hurt him, yes. But if you lied, you'll hurt him even more later.

Besides, if he claims to be a man, he'll lick the wound and will go back on his feet in no time.

You have to be honest with him. My very best friend, a guy, told me he was in love with me. We tried dating. Within a couple of weeks, I knew we weren't meant to date. I was open with him. I let him know that I really valued his company and friendship but that was all that was to our relationship. We "broke up" but we stayed best friends, almost 17 years now.

You need to tell him that you love the friendship that you have but your not romantically in love with him. Do not let it keep going like this cause you will be leading him on & if you truly care for him he should know.
