You could try wink murder, murder in the dark, or this cool game called werewolf. http://www.eblong.com/zarf/werewolf.html
If you do end up bobbing for apples, try bobbing for smarties in flour just after. it all sticks to your face!

No - don't do the ouija board - you might be asking a question, but you don't know who's going to answer - or what you might call up.
I suggest you try reading tarot cards - that's fun & easy enough to do - you could even get someone to dress as a fortune teller & make it a special part of your party. Runes are great too - get a set of rune stones & read them for your guests - the "fortune teller" could do both.
You could tie apples onto strings by their stems - the person going for the apple has their hands tied behind their back & can only use their mouth to get the apple! Tricky, & funny to watch.
I suppose in one room you could have a tv running with only old monster movies going - or something like Poltergeist or Saw; set the mood & be sure the lights are low! Even set up a fog machine near there so the room has a mysterious aura!
good luck & have fun - I'm trying to think of more things . . .

When I was in high school, we all got together, watched scary movies, ordered yummy food and hung out. After a while we would play a game, I am sorry I don't recall the name of it but it had a playing board, and a video. You would pop in the video, turn off the lights and have everyone crowd around the board in front of the tv. A scary creature would come on screen and tell you what to do and then disappear. He would reappear throughout the game and scare you and tell you what to then do. It was a lot of fun and kept everyone on there toes.
Have fun. Sorry I couldn't remember the name of the game but hopefully they still sell it and will be able to know what it is by the description.
Happy Halloween!

Get enough candles that will make a circle around you or yr group of friends. Call the corners, North eath, East air, South flame, and west waters. You must go in this order because it is called DEOSIL, and this way the circle has morn energy than if done counterclockwise. The circle keeps you safe from negative influences. If you cant get candles for example fire hazard and mom would throw a fit, just draw the enrgy of the circle with yr fingertips. Imagine a stream of white light coming out of yr tips. Cast it around three times. You must feel the energy for it to happen so try hard to imagine it. Sit everybody down and cast a spell...for whatever. Make sure that you had written the spell ahead of time so as not to interrupt the occassion with ums and hmmms. Try casting one that will benefit the entire group...you can be the judge of that. Remember not to be selfish in yr spell work tho. Karma comes back to you and not only hits you but kicks and bites you in the butt as well if you cast a spell to hurt someone. Say for example you say for a girl to break her leg and it happens a week or so later, well hon, Karma says that not only will you break yr leg but fracture a few bones and sprain yr ankle as well! So be nice! When you are finished go on and call the quarters back. West first, then north etc. MAke sure to show them the utmost respect dont just tell them to kioss off or anything...here is a list of spells for you that i love. http://www.everythingunderthemoon.net/bookofshadows.htm go to that site and click on what interests you or cast yr own. )0( blessed be

‘Quoth the Raven, “Nevermore”
Read aloud one of Edgar Allen Poe's short horror stories. Dim the lights or sit around a bonfire. Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" should scare the wits out of you and your friends.
(Reading this story on Halloween was favored by the parents in my group. One of the parents turned off the lights and read us the story using a flashlight.)
