I work in a hotel and the age is 18....though, I most warn you allot of hotels will not rent to an 18 year old because they tend to make a mess (trust me, I'm 17 and have to clean up after them babies!)....usually the only way they will rent to a young person is if you reserve the room on a credit card so if you make a mess they will charge it to your card.

Well, well, planning a trip without the family? It depends on the state legislation. If you are under 18, you have no chance. Some states would require registrees to be considered over the age limit of 18 or 21 according to their laws.
