Perhaps you have also lactose intolerance - not being able to digest milk or other dairy products well. Or, if you are just plain drinking a lot of milk...cut back on milk if this is the case.

Claritin D , or Walitin D, sold at Walgreen's helps keep my head clear, which keeps my chest clearer. I have C.O.P.D. and can not get by very well without it. Unfortunately there is a major problem with people using it to make illegal drugs which limits the availability of it to two 10 packs a month. You can no longer get it at Snyder's Drug store either. I am not sure of the reason? I got a prescription for it so I can get a months supply. I tried Allegra, no help at all. I see a specialist too, but I found the claritin D worked well for me, on my own. I only need one 24 hour tablet daily to feel human again. I am very grateful for it. All my other doctor prescribed medication did not clear up my head. If you try it, please be careful for any drug interaction. Check with your pharmacist to see if it is safe for you before combining with your other meds.

This may be grasping at straws here but here's a simple suggestion worth trying: Mix a small amount of salt and baking soda with a quart of water. Use an eyedropper and drop an amount into a nostril with your head tilted back. Spit it out. Repeat on the other side. You will eventually reduce inflammation while clearing out any goop and allergens that can cause infection and irritation. Give it a try...

hum... did ya see a nose and throat specialist?

AND see someone who has a specialty in the gastric category, someone who'll look at your digestive system too.

those are two major problems with the excess fluids..

and talk about diet..maybe you have got some major allergies with food and / or the medications.

consider all of this since this is a real issue with you!

dietitians can help too big time... they can pin point allergies..though you'll have to make a daily diary of what you eat.. but it will be worth the effort in case the meds aren't giving you trouble or you have something wrong with your sinuses or digestive system.
