My Mom suffered a stroke at a young age. There is not much that you can do to make people who have severe strokes feel "normal" again. You can help her adjust to the situation, but I don't know if giving her anything is the answer. She needs to get involved with a support group or volunteer. If she likes animals she may want to spend time at a rescue shelter, or see if there is a community that she can become a part of, like a church group or some other area that is interesting to her. Get her out and about and trying things. Have her keep going to speech and physical therapy. Make sure she is not cut off from society. Good luck and god bless -

There are lots of things she can do. First have her get involved, just b/c she had a stroke doesn't mean it the end of her life. She can volunteer at a hospital and she can help other people that have suffered a stroke and become a mentor by showing that there is more life to live.

I appreciate that you want to do something for her, that is a good thing. But first of all, she should not be alone all day long, try to find her someone to stay with her at least 2 to 3 hours a day. To make sure she eats and in case something happens to her. If it is not you maybe someone in your family can do it. take turns. Or every chip in money so that she can have someone there.
God bless you both.

My father had a stroke and enjoyed playing on the computer....he was able to communicate. Also, get her into physical therapy so that she can continue to maintain strength.
