That was said coz kimi had been eliminated in the 2nd round in the qualifiers that is , he didnt make it to the top 10. But still he managed to be on track for a long time despite the fact that he had less fuel compared to others as he was eliminated in the 2nd round & his engineers would'nt have calculated his fuel level & would have run him light to make the cut. i'm not sure if he did a 1 stop.
