I work in a natural foods store, so of course, our merchandise includes soy-based items, such as soy milk and meat substitutes for vegetarians. Once a customer told me that she noticed that we sell a lot of soy products. I then said that yes, we do. She then asked me, "Why? A lot of people are allergic to soy!" Come on, now! There are also a lot of people who are allergic to dairy and have lactose intolerance, so does that mean that we should stop selling dairy products, too?

Hmm...that's an interesting question. I work in retail also, so I get asked an enormous amount of dumb questions. Just a couple:

1) "Do I have to sign the check before you accept it?"
2) "Do I have to pay before I take this stuff I'm buying out of the store?"
3) "Do I have to work here for them to pay me?"

4) "I left all of my money home, but I still want this stuff. What do I do?"

Those are just the ones I could think of for the moment.

: )

Hahaha that's funny. Don't people think before they speak anymore? Here's a couple of DUMB questions:

(1) I was in the supermarket, lining up at the checkout with a BIG load of shopping and my 3 little kids. The woman in front of me said, "Are they all yours?" Assuming she meant my kids, I said, "Yes." Would I REALLY take someone else's kids to the shops for kicks??!!

(2) I was in the Birthing Suite 1.5wks after having our 4th child. I was ready to come home. I asked my husband to call me at 3:30pm to see where I was at and if I was ready then for him to pick me up. When he hadn't called by 4pm, I found some change and went and called him on the public phone. When he answered, he asked, "Where are you?" I mean, REALLY!!
