Or if they are different because we are just that far off base?

A person who calls them-self wise, is a fool. Wisdom is conferred by others.

Enlightenment is a path or goal, not a destination. If, on occasion, others remark how enlightened your answers are, you might be traveling the path. This does not need to happen often. Those far from path will never be aware.

If an ignorant fool does not understand your answer, then it does not matter how enlightened the answer might be. If a seeker is able to pull a tiny bit of wisdom from your answer, then usually some sort of positive reply is made.

The fact that you might be concerned about this topic is usually a sign that you are not that far off base, even if your answers are not the typical ones.
