One finds wealth of character in being honest and paying good wages. Having some money in your bank account is fine and dandy, but there's more to wealth than making money.
But, if that is not the answer you wanted, then you should consider Henry Ford who said that if you want to sell lots of cars then you have to pay workers enough money so they can buy them.
