I got my last depo (birth control) shot in April and have had my period in July and in August I was late for September and took a preganancy test on Friday and it came up positive. I started bleeding on Saturday night and went to the doctor on Monday and got a urine test and it came back negative. When I got home I took the other test just for the hek of it and it came up positive. Can someone tell me whats going on am I pregnant or not?

The urine tests at the doctor's office usually require that you have a higher hcg level in your urine, than the ones that you buy at the local drugstore. For example, mine came up positive at home, but my test only requires 25 parts per microliter in my urine of hcg. The doctor's office test required 100 parts per microliter in my urine of hcg.

Your test is probably more sensitive.

I would go back to the doctors office and demand a blood test... or go to the hospital and tell them you are pregnant and bleeding.

If you take a home pregnancy test and it comes out positive then you are pregnant. But since your bleeding, you might miscarry. I would go to the hospital and tell them you think your pregnant and you started to bleed. They might be able to stop the miscarrage.
If you don't want to go that route, I would go back to your doctor and show him the pregnancy test you took and tell him you want a blood test done. Make sure you make your doctors appointment early in the morning as soon as they open. Also tell him that if you are pregnant like the tests have said, why are you bleeding and could it be a miscarrage???
Most likly if your bleeding, your going to miscarry. The test will still say positive until the cells that were forming the baby are out of your system.

Sorry to say it, but I think you are having a miscarriage. The HPT is right and your PG at the dr. office may have also been positive. Te problem is, the dr. office will not tell you your HCG level if it is not above a certain range. The HPT has no choice but to tell you yes or no. I would recommend going back to the Dr. office and requesting your blood be drawn for a PG test and ask your Beta HCG to be read to you. That will confirm pregnancy. (There is a high probability that they will say no)

But if you have having period bleeding, then they might not draw blood from you. They will just leave you thinking that you are having a period.

I read on webmd that a lot of pregnancy's end in miscarriage, and the women wont even know it!

Sorry

well that's weird but i know you can have a false positve from a home pregnancy test but for you to have two that say positive that's kind of weird. i would go get another test done by the doctor just to make sure.

If you would like to it is better to get blood test when you go to the doctor and then sometimes a test can give you a false positive but if it said positive twice it will be better to get a blood test because doctors don't always kno wat they are talkn bout eitha
