Nixon was always homely, even as a very young man. He was lucky to score the cute Pat. Lincoln was also homely, but had a commanding presence in photos -- he knew how to stand and there was an aura about him. But maybe I read their accomplishments into their appearances...

Probably the smartest...Abraham Lincoln...It is a sad commentarybut, with todays physical scrutiny on appearance ...In this climate ...He would probably not be elected .
