A good speed for what?
Typically you will pay for a Broadband service.
If you are paying for a 2Mb service, then 1.85 is about as good as you can expect to measure.
If you are paying for a 10Mb service then it is not good....

Yes, it's fairly alright for most of the applications that you would like to run. For example, if you want to talk on MSN using your camera and on the same time browse through Internet explorer and download a movie, it will still run alright and smooth. Just don't overdo it!! Every Broadband speed has its limits.
If, off course you had a 8MBits or a 16MBits connection, things would be even faster (downloads, uploads etc). However, it's not always applicable to download at such speeds, because many servers are a lot slower than that. Therefore, it would be (sometimes) a waist of money.
My connection is 2Mbits and works just fine with everything I do, and I do A LOT of things!
Cheers,
Mel

No. It is low. For instance, Comcast's rated download speed is 6mpbs.
