My proposals is to allow mothers and fathers to decide on abortion. If a mother does not want the child, she can have an abortion while pregnant. Then, after the child is born, the father will have 9 months to decide whether he wants the baby to live. Equality of rights!

The ancient Greeks had a similar system. Infanticide was legal, but abortion was not. This was so any birth defects and or female children who would not be able to make the military stronger could be discarded. I have to disagree with you.

Very tricky subject. Very sensitive.

First, I believe that the time for deciding whether to have a child or not is BEFORE you have sex, not after one is conceived. The act of coitus is the act of procreation, not just recreation, and once you decide to engage in this act, you are responsible for the consequences. This applies to both parties.

Thus, I am against abortion, and do not believe either party should have a say against the child being born. Only a doctor should have a say, if their risk to the mothers' physical health. Otherwise, their decision to have a child was made when they decided to have intercourse.

At that point, they both have a responsibility to that child. Whether they keep it or give it away to adoption, they need to be held responsible, and must accept the consequences of their actions.

No abortion is wrong, but men should have the choice to opt out of having to pay for a child they dont want since a woman can. There is actually a guy right now fighting for equal rights in the decision making process of babies. His girlfriend assured him she could not have children, then Ding got pregnant, now she wants child support from him. I wish he would win, he wont but at least they are bringing awareness to the problem.

How can a baby be born if it is aborted?
However.............
If a dude doesn't want to have a baby then he needs to learn that he, too, can use birth control. Condoms are made for dudes and there are spermicidal lubricants. All moronic males need to accept responsibility instead of whining and snivelling when they have to pay child support because they are too STUPID to use protection.
And don't say "well, she should've been using something." Yeah, maybe she should, but she didn't get pregnant by herself and nothing is stopping a male from rolling on a jimmy hat but air and opportunity.

is a father willing to pay for all the things that happen in the 9 months and then for 23 years. parents are responsible for college financial till age 23 now.
even loss of job and more besides pay to carry the kid medical and more.
if you don't have agreement before the sex,
well possession is 9/10Th's as they say.
fathers do have rights if there is a birth and a DNA proving rights and responsibility.
i cannot believe though you would consider killing a child, this is not only against the law, clear murder, it is morally reprehensible.

I would say yes to the first question, and no to the rest of your proposal. Besides the fact that abortion is murder in the first place, I still think that as long as one parent wants the child it shouldn't be killed.

Nice end run. Fathers Rights & Creation Science. Both fail on brief examination.

No. Fathers do not carry the child. Fathers do not go through the complications and drawbacks of carrying the child and a father will not suffer the excruciating horrible crippling pain of child birth. I do not believe in abortion but I do know that a man should have no say so in the matter.

The father also has a choice and that happened when he decided to have sex, wear a condom or not.

He has to live with the consequences of those decisions.

If ever a question here never made any sense, this one is clearly a front-runner! Won't even address the mis-spellings and grammar...
