It bugs me when someone asks a question, then once the answers are in, they leave it alone. It goes to vote, a best answer gets chosen, but you never know if the asker ever checked back, liked any of the answers, was helped at all, or even cared.

1) Repetiton. Why even log an answer if you are only repeating an earlier posters point? I mean, THINK ABOUT IT!!! Some questions have the same answer repeated 29 different ways. ABSURD!
Furthermore, no one logs in and uses the search function to find if someone else has asked the same question they are about to ask. Thus, we get "Burger King or McDonald's?" asked several times a day.
2) Joke questions. Most fail the number one requisite of all humor: THEY'RE NOT FUNNY.
3) Homework questions. Too often, these betray total idiocy on the part of the questioner. They have not touched a book all semester, have not heard one word spoken by their instructor, have not consulted one resource at school or library, and further CANNOT EVEN USE A SIMPLE SEARCH ENGINE LIKE GOOGLE OR YAHOO! HOW DO YOU PEOPLE GET DRESSED IN THE MORNING!!!???
All these, and more I am sure, make yahoo Q & A about 1/28 as useful as it could be. If I wanted a question answered, this is probably the last place I would look because I would have to thread through hundreds of troll joke posts to get to anything of value.
I think it is a mistake to give any and all answers two points.
PS -- The good ones on this site, my apologies for yelling at the deadwood in your presence.

There are a few things that annoy me about the Q & A. The worst is when people go into a tirade and post question after question etc on similar NEGATIVE topics. I mean seriously, no one needs 12 different versions of why they hate strollers or that people who bother to have kids are stupid all within 5 minutes of each other from the same person posting them. That is just a way to keep their question at the top of the list.

When I answer, it is to the best of my knowledge. I, like most people on these forums, will from time to time, give a silly answer to a silly question, example: What is copper made of? Or: What is a rock? What is water? There is no way to know if the question is being asked by an eight year old or by an adult who is just pulling your leg. So what do we do?
Some time ago after answering a question, I reviewed the asker's Q&A's . Inconsistencies in the person's Q&A's encouraged me to edit my answer, I was so upset I used unacceptable language. She lied about a portion of her Q&A's and that incensed me. She, of course being afraid of the truth, reported me. I am still upset over that one. (Not being reported, but the fact that she lied)
I would like to think that people ask valid questions and expect valid answers. If people don't want stupid answers, then don't ask stupid questions. It's as simple as that.
So my pet peeve is people using this site to intentionaly upset others. Cheers =)

Mine is something similar to yours: when I ask a serious Q I want a serious A and I hate when people leave a criticizing comment just to get under your skin and to get 2 points..now there are times where I too want to be silly and get funny answers then that would be the time for all of that ..

Mine is being turned into the Yahoo thought police when I give a smart *** answer to a dumbass question. Not this one mind you, but, you have to admit some questions on here are from seriously stupid or lazy individuals.

racist comments
and religiouse arguing.
Get over it people, if you don't want to live in a country that is known for diversity, THEN MOVE
Same with religion, everyone has their own right for whatever religion they follow, so why does it matter to you that some one you have never met and never will meet chooses a different religion than you, FREEDOM
it's what america is all about. (or at least is supposed to be)
