I am trying to remove the battery that will erase the administrators password

When you open the side of the computer you will see a large circuit board that fills most of the area of the inside. You can spot a battery on it, usually either in a clip or with a plug in cable.

Sorry to say but I think after you take out the battery you will not have taken out the password. That is probably written into a file that you won't be able to access without the administrator's password.

Are you the administrator trying to fix a problem or are you a user without that privilege trying to make a problem? Just curious about your motivation for getting rid of the password. I think a real administrator would know the answer to where the motherboard is and what makes the password go away.

It's the big board that is atacched to the gabinet, where all the cards an cables are conected. When you open you cabinet you can see it is the biggest and you can easily find the battery there.

Open the tower of the computer the mother board is where most of the wiring goes to or from.

If you are messing about anywhere near the motherboard, be sure to touch the case often to dissipate any static charge or you can fry the entire thing. You can by an anti-static wrist cord at radio shack pretty cheap..........G
