I need to take a typing test soon and am unable to type quickly because the "e" on my computer keybord only works sometimes. I have to hit it over and over and then it works. Sorry if this question is dumb, but is there a way that can take my computer keybord off in an attempt to fix it myself without damaging the interior hardware. I am not a computer wiz, as you can tell....lol.. I already used the electronic dust spray and it didn't help. Please someone....HELP! I have to take a typing test in a few days at a temporary job agency. I appreciate your time to read this. Thanks so much.

if you want to be totally sure the problem is resolved you can replace the keyboard. take it to best buy to have it done if you dont wanna do it yourself. my hubby replaces the keyboards on our dell laptops all the time, it only takes a minute.

What kind of laptop do you have?

This happens often on the Dell laptops our field inspectors use - you can pop the key itself off (carefully) and see what's stuck under it. I've found a toothpick and a puffy, glitter star sticker causing the very same issue you're having!
