any risk of the programme corrupting my comp?

there is risk of getting virus through some sites.better install mcafee virus scan and scan your computer at least once in 3 days.even if you down load any programme don't directly open the file. first you save it and scan it. it is always better to down load any thing from the sites by browsing through address bar only. many sites which give access to us through search contain virus.

You don't run or download anything from the internet without some risk. Just make sure you know where you are and what you are downloading, and why. If it is from a site you know and trust, then maybe the risk is smaller. Be very wary of FREE stuff from unknown sites. That's dumb.

hey,
if u hav a proper antivirus n spyware its k.. n depends wht u r downloading.. if there s a virus on the thing whchu download sumtin there s a chance of virus entring ur harrd disk.. u knw wht wil hapen.. this hapns only inthe case if ur antivirus doesnt able to delete the virus. the virus occupies thespace o hard disc..

It depends on the program it wants to install - and you need to make sure you have an up-to-date virus protection program running and update/run spyware removal programs *at least* once a week.
