Older computers were damaged by switching on and off, so popular opinion was that you should just leave it on. Now technology has advanced, but this is still a popular idea. I would just shut it off if you are not going to use it again soon.

I believe switching it off and on would use the most energy. However, if you don't let it ventilate properly (via the vents on the sides and bottom of it) after leaving it turned on while on a hard surface that will reflect heat will let it overheat and it will turn off by itself without even shutting down and I don't know if that's too good for it or not. I would just keep it on and set it on my printer with one of the vents sticking out and teh rest of it sitting on the printer and put it into standby mode when I don't need it.

If you leave it on so the ventilation can't work it will overheat, that's dangerous for the laptop. Just leave it on standby and it should be fine. Try not to leave it on a carpet or rug.

Laptops have heat issues and it is often better to turn them off. If it were a desktop I would say to leave it on.

switching it off and on. if you just leave it on it can still run updates, defrag, etc. switching it off and on prevents it from doing this and can sometimes cause you to go into "safe mode" which limits what you can and cant do on the laptop.

Your computer could artwork high-quality, merely get all the mucus and stuff off of it as much as you are able to, different than that, it incredibly is going to be completely high-quality. A sneeze wont do something, spilling espresso on it incredibly is going to.
