I don't call things something other then what it is but I have had to speak with small words so some people can understand what I'm saying.

People in Stoke on trent call u duck. Very strange to get used to, but now I kinda miss not being called duck when I'm not here.

Dragon call all living animal Fluffy. Dragon reduce vocabulary on Yahoo. In real life, Dragon was English Major at college. Dragon know perfeckly well how write good grammar. Dragon choose not write good grammar for Yahoo. Dragon like how word eet look when spell like eet. Dragon like how word jools look when spell like jools. Dragon gotta be normal at work, so Dragon not gotta be normal Yahoo.

Yes. Particularly when living and working in Third World countries and I am trying to communicate as clearly as possible to non English speakers.

I have used simpler words in order to be understood. I have never done what you suggested.
In other words - I have implemented the practice of less complex verbage so that my intentions were absolutely clarified, however I have never instituted the practice of incorrect vocabulary with no concomitant circumstances.

yeah, all dogs are male, all cats female etc. When I lived in England I naturally picked up the differences in vocabulary, when I moved back the states it really offended my friends. I was using words they hadn't even heard much and considered it rather snooty.....so I reverted to back the more american language.

I have dumbed down my vocabulary for people that might not understand some words but never that far.
