In this case, you're probably thinking of the Manchu, who invaded and took over China's dynasty, while remaining distinctly foreign. If you want to know why dynasty itself decayed overall in China, that's a different question all together.

It was a combination of all four. Xizi (I think that's how to spell her name) was extending her power, or her nephew's power, and this combined with the growing influence of the Mongolian warriors and the influence from Christian missionaries played a HUGE part in the downfall of the Xing dynasty.
