The Congress & Media should have checked history. We,who live in the South, know hurricane seasons are good & bad with no reason to them. We have been hit hard by a few in past & this year twice rushed to save our sailboat only to have a big rainstorm. It was definitely the lefties who they interviewed about how bad the season would be & how bad the storms that sent me rushing to boat would be. Storms have always been controlled by nature including Katrina. FEMA & federal goverment were kept from state to give help by Governor.
I saw the interview where she said " We can take care of our own state" - it was only after it blew up in her face that she changed her tune.

OK , where has it been written that more intense storms are a liberal idea. Yes it is true that this years hurricane season was less, however there is no disputing our oceans are warmer, the gulf of Mexico's dead zone (hypoxic) is larger than ever, glaciers are melting faster than we thought (and this could account for less intense storms season), perma-frost is melting more and longer, thus releasing more methane, and I could go on. The best thing you could do is get an education, thank you.

Ice Ages are caused by variation of the inclination of the Earth's axis. This may take thousands of years to be noticeable.
Global Warming is caused by an increase in greenhouse gasses. This may take months to be noticable.
They are NOT Related.

Try living though 8 hurricanes in the past two years and see if you come out laughing.
If you're going to talk about a subject like this then at least know what the hell you're talking about.
By the way, no one ever blamed Bush for Katrina. It was his response that was inadequate. He even said so.

Liberals accept nature, and understand that the number and intensity of storms varies from year to year. But we have a problem with religious people who think storms are sent by God to warn or punish us. If so, then is God happier with us, seeing that storms are down? And why was he so angry alst year? They fill it in with whatever they're upset about. Amazing how their mentality is God's mentality!

Dear John;
Check the Pacific typhoon season.
Pretty bad.
Global warming means it happens to the whole globe - not just the Atlantic.

Another crappy non-question putting words in peoples mouths.
Come on man,at least blame people for something that actually happened.
Like Bush's horrible response to Katrina that shows he doesnt give a damn about being prepared.
