I am looking for a weekend getaway for my Mom and myself. We live in Michigan and would like to either stay in Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, or Canada. I know Chicago is cool but we were there already this summer. I don't want to break the bank on this trip either. We aren't looking for any particular dates, just something fun to do. Thanks.

The UP is great to get away from it all.

Port Clinton is nice, but things are getting chilly.

I love Montreal, there is MUCH to do there. Stay away from Toronto (boring and dirty).

Wisconsin- Getting cold there too. Good for summer places (Lake Geneva).

I think you should come to Tennessee because we have a little bit of everything museums and all kinds of things to do such as battle fields ruby falls rock city the aquarium plenty of hotels and restaurants we have McDonald and they have the dollars menu cant get no cheaper then that on vacation right
or go to Cleveland Ohio where you have alot of things to do you have a college campus there plus museums close by vermilion is like 15 away also so this is an advantage then you have Oberlin Ohio which is where the slaves use to be dropped off from the underground railroad and it is also a College town
