A regular ten sided figure is known as a regular decagon. This is 2 D.

A decahedron is a polyhedron having 10 faces. That is 3D.

Hope this clarifies the matter.

All the best.

A ten sided 2-D shape is a 10-sided polygon. The term decagon can be used for both regular and general 10-sided polygons depending on context, although unqualified it usually refers to the regular 10-sided polygon (i.e. all internal angles are the same and all side lengths are the same.)

p.s: For all those who said decahedron, that's a 10 faced 3-D shape. And a dodecahedron is a 12 faced 3-D shape, so is completely incorrect.

it is called a DECAGON.

If all ten side are equal it is called a REGULAR DECAGON

It is NOT a decahedron which is a ten sided 3D shape or a dodecahedron which is a twelve 3D shape. I have seen people get muddled with the last two.

Whoever said dodecahedron is a 3D 12 sized shape! Tsk!
