Have they deluded you by equating your patriotism with that of Nazis?

Have they emasculated you by telling you that "giving in" is preferable to "standing up?"

Where are the people of strong moral character who defend the weak? Where are the heroes?

Where is the nation I grew up with?

They've been replaced with people who think its okay to call 1/2 the population "stupid" because they voted for someone else.

They've been replaced with people who don't protest against the current administration- but march AGAINST AMERICA.

In many ways political dissent is like Chemotherapy, a healthy amount will destroy the cancer that is killing the body, but too much will kill the body by itself. And today, the balance is off.

Don't hate me because I'm proud of my country. Don't hate me because I'm proud to be an American. Don't hate me because I have a flag hanging in my yard, because I'm a Veteran, because I'm an AMERICAN.

I want the heroes back.

Agree/Disagree?

I could not agree with you more. America has fallen prey to the political correctness police and that's what's destroying our nations fabric. No backbone-- just feel goodism. Self esteem is paramount in the schools- not teaching facts or history or how to solve problems. Strange that schools are imploding now with so many shootings. There's got to be a connection because it wasn't like this when I was growing up.
There are heroes out there but they aren't championed like they used to be. Sure- something as big as 9/11 has produced a number of heroes (Todd Beamer comes to mind) but how many out there would really have the guts to stand up to a Chinese invasion? I'd go back to our roots and hide in farm houses and wooded areas where I know the lay of the land and fight like hell against the commie aggression.
Thank you for your service and patriotism [which is NOT a bad word Mr. Ted "got my head up my____" Turner]. Obviously money can't MAKE you smart!!!!

Have a great day!!!

I'm an American too, and proud to be one. Those who march against America should leave this nation. They use their rights as an American to fight America, it just doesn't make sense. Im 17 right now. I hope to be a hero someday. Where has the sense of patriotism went. Bush may not be the best president, and I disagree with some of his actions, but I still support him because he is OUR AMERICAN LEADER. Those who call others stupid for their vote have no right to do so, for they themselves are actually stupid for only caring of themselves and not what the nation, as a whole, wants.

Sincerly,

An American

That's going to get me on a big rant.. we are destroying ourselves and I blame Education entirely. We are living in our past to much, instead of our future. At the same token history isn't taught as it should be, to learn from our mistakes and not dwell on them. We are coming apart because Americans are not educated as they should be about the US, it's not that long of a history so it shouldn't be to hard. I was taught American History in school in detail all 12 years, we also learned World history but American History was big... World History is now the biggest subject and American history gets a semester. Until we teach our young people about how we got to where we are today and it didn't just happen when the pilgrims landed here, we are just going to keep fighting for the wrong things, we are dividing ourselves amongst races and nationalities instead of living as a country. Our future leaders are going to use excerpts of our history as to what we are as a country, instead of what we have overcome. I thank everybody who has made us what we are, soldiers and common people past and present and until we remember everything that people risked their life for we will never come together as a nation.

Very well said.....

especially the part about the people protest America and not the current admin....

One thing many people have forgotten is that this is the country that allows them to disagree....we don't have to like everything this gov. does, and we have a right to say so....but don't hate the country that give you that right....

People have forgotten that not everyone has to agree with them....Just because I don't have the same opinion as someone else does not make me right and them wrong or the other way around.....

Thanks again for you service and for stating this so very well....

Christopher Columbus did not come across something. The Americas have been already populated whilst he arrived. us of a of america existed long formerly any white guy ever laid eyes upon it. in spite of the fact that, i'm chuffed for the time without work. i will barbecue and decide for a swim if the marine layer ever burns off. i'm not particular approximately your emphasis on the reality that Columbus replaced into white. If this is a few style of racist nonsense stating the occurrence of the white race or regardless of, you failed. i'm white and that i don't experience superior to every person.

I am sorry you feel that way; there are many heroes in the nation. There are many on the Right, and many on the Left. Maybe you just don't want to see them.

My son, my flesh and blood, the man who carries my name, is now serving in the Navy and is considering going to Iraq in support of the Marines.
