absolutely... it's strange but true. Still feeling it with my online friend. I feel closer to him than most people I have met in person which is why it makes it so hard to face the fact that we probably will never meet. I am dealing with it though.
...Hope your OK *odd

Definitely.
Everybody goes on about how the net is the perfect venue for deception. And they're right, it is. But they neglect to mention that it can also be the perfect venue for honesty.
The anonymity has two edges. Not just one. And it can provide a means for people to be honest about anything they like, free from angst about the possibility of reprisals and recriminations if they dare to express a view unpopular with their peers.
Get past the stock answers, and conformity with social convention and it's possible to see in people unexpected colours and facets.
And *that* really can be strangely magnetic.
There are quite a few magnetic personalities using this very department of Q&A.
At least in my view.

Of course it's possible...why not? The written word is just about the oldest form of communication. When a person can communicate well enough in the written word, to show their personality, then people are drawn to that.
There are a few people on YA that I find absolutely intriguing and each one makes me smile, even though we have never met or actually spoken

Yes. People perceive people to be what they want them to be and it therefore attracts them to certain people and not to others. While, at the same time, after meeting those people in real life, they get disappointed because it wasn't what they thought because what they thought was their own perceived notion and not the facts.
