one way u can tell her or show her is by looking for clothes but make your way to the bras and panties section and she will get the point but stay in that section for a minute or two and she might ask you are you doing with panties and tell her that you need a bra and if that doesn't help then you can tell her that you need some socks and underwear and can u go with her when she buys them and say "Um mom I need a bra" and if you don't like those ideas you can make sure that your nipples kinda show and she will just bye you a bra that is kinda how I started on padded bra but til then sport bras to un padded bras should do you good

If you dont want to tell her just ask for some money and tell her you need it for a girly problem and go buy one with a friend or something. Later you will get out of this shyness, but it is all natural.

Just say, "Mom, I think I'm at a point where I'm starting to need to wear a bra." It's nothing to be embarrassed about. The only problem that might arise is if your mom is freaked out about you growing older. :-)

Heck, my mom pointed it out to ME when I started needing to wear a bra. I hated them. I still do. But, I wore one anyway, which is good--if you don't wear a bra from the start of when you need them, there is a chance that your breasts may end up kind-of funny shaped and farther apart than they should be.

You might want to ask her what is the correct way to shop for a bra. Tell her how do you know how to get the right fit? Then when she asks you why explain that you NEED to go shopping. Tell her that you are starting to get a bit uncomfortable when you are active in sports(?) since your breasts are not properly supported and you wanted to know what to do.

Then once the conversation starts to pick up even if she says that you "don't have anything" tell her that you notice it and it makes you feel self-conscious. If that doesn't work, then go to a shop yourself and just get one. We do things differently here in the states.

Just tell her you need to go to the store to buy bras. She'll understand she was once 13 too.

Just ask her to go shopping and when you go by the bra section, mention that you need to get one to wear at lesat under the shirts you have that are slightly see-through. There are some shirts that you neeed to wear a bra with...boobs or no boobs.

Just tell her that you need to go get some new under garments, and if she ask why, tell her. She gave birth to you and she has gone through this also. She will understand. It is nothing to be embarassed about. Be proud!

I know it's embarrassing, but just tell her you need one. Even if you don't really need it that badly, you're 13 and it's ok if you want one. You might write her a note. That's what my daughter did when she got her period.

You're 13 and you're just now wearing one? I started when I was 8. Well, anyway, just tell her I mean, you're already a teenager, you have your own mind!
