Does anyone know a great deal about Scottish royalty (I mean more than what can be obtained from wiki and other free online sources).

In particular King Olav the Black, last King of Man and the Western Isles, Clan MacLeod, Clan MacNeacail, Clan MacNicol, and Clan Nicolson and all those that descend from his line. Would they still have some claim to nobility or royalty?

Nobility, maybe, not royalty. The last royal line of Scotland was the Stuarts, which ended in 1788 when Bonnie Prince Charlie dies without issue. Many descendants of lesser scions of the House of Stuart are currently living, but none seems to have a serious claim to the throne of Scotland, or to that of the UK.

Look harder all you need is on the Internet Just ask about Scottish history on Search Engines. No they don't have any claim to anything since a country couldn't have two royal families. At least thats something to be grateful for anyway.

But if you trace far enough back you can find some "royal blood" even in English history ... like, witht he early Edwards.

So, it would be possible to be descended from Royalty; but if you have not defended that title through all those years ...

As for me, supposedly descended from Gorm del Gammel -- but certainly am descended from the first builder of a large "boat"
