Not as good as I expected. They spend so much time advertising it, and it got a lot of publicity being stolen in Budapest, yet we never heard how it was returned, I suspect that was some self publicity stunt pulled by the BBC.
I guess we are saturated by Robin Hood, dodging arrows like the Matrix, and shooting two or three at a time.
I'm enjoying Jane Eyre, but then again, I'm a girl.

I enjoyed it as a bit of disposable escapism. Pretty much like every other Robin Hood, so possibly boredom will set in - give it a chance, though don't expect anything groundbreaking.

Yeah initially I thought the original with Michael Praed was much better but then I was only 9 when I saw it no doubt 9 year olds are enthralled by this new one. But they could have made it better am I wrong or did they actually kill soldiers in the old one cos they sure didnt in this one, one look of anger fron good ol robin seemed to be enough to fighten them off.... poor babies.

I don't know, it was alright. I don't like Keith Allen as he's not really scary enough as the sheriff (more like a mischievous elf or gremlin) I like the fact that Robin is so deadly but it just reeks of BBC cheese. I will keep watching it though; unfortunately I have nothing better to do.

YES IT WAS!!! I was really looking forward to it but was really disappointed. The directing was really crap and made some of the scenes unwatchable. I'm not sure I can stomach the next episode since I'll probably want to throw things at the tv.

Perhaps it should have remained missing when it was allegedly "stolen" in that silly publicity stunt to generate interest.

I'm so glad you think so too! With the millions of viewers, I thought I was missing something when I didn't really care too much about it. It'll be fun to watch, but when you compare it to something like the BBC version of Jane Eyre that's currently showing, it doesn't come close...

I enjoyed it. It will probably make a star out of Jonas Armstrong. Well if The Darling Buds of May made a star out of Catherine Zeta Jones.....

I didn't watch it cos I knew it would be rubbish. It was so obvious from the trailer.
