I would try to hang tight. Even if it part-time. This way you stay in the swing of things. Normally what I do in College is not listen to the Counselor on what class to take. Many have you take all you easy stuff and then go into the hard stuff. On a 12 hour 4 class semester I would take 2 easy and 2 hard, try to have a mix. Art Appreciation, Basic Math, and two that pertain to your Degree plan. Also, after a week drop a hard one and take 9 hours, it usually keep you qualified for any grants and cover the Student loan grace period, you just need to start with a full load and then drop to 9 hours. But, try best you can to stay with it. Many people lay out for 1-2 semesters and never go back, regardless of what they think they will do.

First of all, this is the time to buck up and FINISH This semester successfully -- and I mean it - - because any school I know of (Colleges/Universities) are well-past the point where you can add/drop without any damage to either your finances or your grade point average.
STAY in school this semester.
I have a question -- did you start directly at a 4 year institution? If so, why? For those with the challenges of having to provide a living while attending College, the Community College is a GREAT Option for the first 2 years of College -- because that AS or AA or AAS Degree IS Valuable -- and provides you with the documentation that supports your efforts (and allows you to enter the job market at higher skill levels and pay than just a HS Diploma would).
As a result -- as a Jr. in College, with no AA/AS/AAS Degree -- IF you drop out, the options are just like if you have only the HS diploma -- not much choice here -- and not much opportunity to advance like if you either completed the Community College Successfully or have the BA/BS/BAS Degrees.
Have you tried going half time for a semester to relieve your stress? That might be one solution to this problem.

Get some HELP! Are there any support groups in your area for single parents? Do you have family or GOOD friends who are willing to help baby sit or lend a shoulder for moral support? I know it is difficult for you. I started college in 1979. I found it harder to go back to school after taking a break. I finally finished my degree in 2002 at the age of 45 after attending 6 colleges/universities in 4 different states. It was worth it but I wished I would have found a way to stick it out. Plus, you'll be able to obtain better paying employment making it easier to pay off student loans. Best of luck to you.

The answer to all your problems is simple, GOD. Start by praying every morning, every time you feel down, anytime you need support, He is always there for you, always. Visit a church.
I'm a single mom of two girls. The best way to take care of your family is with The Lord in your life.
God bless you now and forever.I'll be praying for you.

I say stay in school and finish it. I would drop that part time job, if I don't desperately need it to support the kid.
Good luck

STAY!! or try your hardest to Stay. I took time off and ended up never finishing. It's really hard to put life on hold again after you take it off hold.
