Don't have a heart attack, but I don't watch soaps. I might be one of the few that doesn't. But as to the remote issue, my husband is the hog. I can be watching something and he comes in and turns the channel. He will do that to the kids to. There are 3 T.V.'s in the house but that doesn't matter. I am glad that he is computer illiterate or he'd be taking that over to.

I hate the telly, everytime I come in the tellys on and my mums the worst. She comes home from work at 2pm every day and the first thing she does is put the telly on. she'll then sit there watching it until 4 when my younger sister comes home from school then shes glued to it again for neighbours home and away, hollyoaks, a break at 7 then its eastenders and then hours of police based drams like csi or law and order! Life without a telly for my mum would be devestating.

My husband and then 10 year old son has the remote. They even walk out of the room with it and I find it one or the other's bedroom. No soaps in our house - football, football, football and car programmes.

It's the same in our house ... Hollyoaks, Emmerdale, Corrie, Eastenders, more Corrie ... then there's the omnibus editions on Saturdays and Sundays and E4 for tomorrow's episode of Hollyoaks!!

AAAAAGGGGGHHHHH!!!!

I get to watch something I'm only slightly interested in around 11.30pm when they've gone to bed!

Why can't I watch the f**king NEWS for once???

Mr. Angry from Purley ... if you can remember Steve Wright on Radio 1 (not R 2 as he is now)

The person that gets to it first....
I got tired of losing the remote and finding it in the kitchen or office...so I bought a great big one and tied a string around it and tied it to the coffee table leg, so now we can always find it...just follow the string.

right now, the kids are always the first ones in the room; so they always have it on some sort of cartoons...sometimes i demand they switch it to the weather channel or news just to get them to quit watching it, and then I find something interesting on that i want to watch.

David:

I have my very own remote. Oink, Oink, Oink.

BTW it works my very own TV in a place where I can and do escape from "Dancing with the Stars", "American Idol", and some show that finds men being struck in the groin with baseball bats amusing.

I am sorry to hear about your plight, truly sorry.
