Do you want the USA to get out of the world political scene. Should They keep their nose out of everyones else bussiness. If you do should they also keep their help when things go bad, either from mother nature or man made. Should those Americians keep all their aide money. Basicly should the Americians keep to themselfs and say to hell with the rest of the world.

I am American and damn proud to be. I agree that if you dont like us, then do not ask us for our help. I dont agree with sending all this money, that we in the US need, to other countries who hate our guts.

Isolationism didn't hinder the US. As for US generosity, what about your own country, how many 'black' Americans got a season ticket to the New Orleans sports facilities, whilst Americans sat in their own homes. As a country, you give less to Foreign Aid in perventage of GDP than any other 1st World country.
As you conducted 1000s of nuclear tests off the coasts of foreign countries, destroyed the waters around Bhopal with pollution, have the most radioactive land in the world, and are responsible for 25% of greenhouse gases, you have done more to destroy the planet than any country, so should you pay?
Personally with the exception of the lately formed Gates Foundation, your aid has always been tied to political benefits for your country, and so YES go back to isolationism.

It appears that America is certainly on a path of it's own. However to conceal itself from the rest of the world would prove to a big mistake. America is indeed a super power but should realize that it doesn't have the authority to police the rest of the world. Helping other countries when they are in trouble is a very positive thing that your country does, as does mine Canada. So to pull out of all international conflicts and to stop helping countries hit with disaster would prove a mistake for your great and powerful nation. But they should also be wary of how they try and influence world events, the last thing the world needs is another cold war.

We have dealt in the past with America as an isolationist country which did not offer help to anyone. Had this not been the case WW2 may not have been as long or as large as it was if the U.S acted swiftly. The problem isnt that U.S acts, its that it acts in the wrong places and makes wrong decisions. Its actions durign the Cold War have facilitated the uprising of Al Qaueda and Iran. The problems associatied with these two groups came about because of the actions of the U.S. So to finally conclude, yes U.S should help but please think about it first!

Boy, that would be nice. However, what if more and more crazy dictators develop the nuclear bomb and decide to lob a few in our direction? Would those bomb be sort of hard to ignoree?

It would be nice to ignor the world. I really wish we could. But lets be realistic.
