I've had 2, on time, but irregular periods. 2 neg. blood tests and many neg. hpt's (the last taken Oct. 9/06). If pregnant I would be 2 months. I'm on the pill and never miss. Was told to keep taking it by my Dr. However, I want to be sure that I am not pregnant. I've been refused a ultrasound due to all the neg. tests. The only symptoms that I think I have are slightly larger breasts, a little belly starting, and up 4lbs. What's the likelyhood of being pregnant? And how do I get a Dr. to approve an ultrasound given the past results? Thanks for any info.

To me it doesn't sound like you are pregnant. Your blood doesn't lie, if its negative then its negative. It seems like you are just working yourself up. What is it going to take for you to believe that your not pregnant? I would believe a blood test (and you have had 2) more than an ultrasound. Your periods are probably irregular because you are stressing yourself out. RELAX!

Get over it, you aren't pregnant. You are on the pill, i remember never having periods when I was on birth control.
You are probably bloated, which is causing the 4 pounds and a belly starting. A negative is a negative. If i were your doctor i wouldn't approve an ultrasound either.

You are not pregnant, which is why they won't give you an ultrasound. I am sorry, hon... But you are on the pill, so I am assuming you don't want to be pregnant, so this is a good thing, right? The pill is very effective when taken properly, which is probably why you aren't pregnant. Keep on taking it until you are ready to become pregnant.

Blood tests aren't wrong. Perhaps you keep thinking you are pregnant because you perhaps want to be so?

Why would you want an ultrasound if you already had a blood test. If the blood test came back neg then you are not pg. They ave very accurate. If the doctor thought that there were any indication that you might still be pg he would have asked for an ultrasound. you are not pg.....

Blood tests are a 100% accurate. If you had negative results than you are not pregnant. Plus you have had two periods. This is another sign that you would not be pregnant. Some women have spotting when they are pregnant, but it is not like a period.

Sorry but I don't think you are pregnant if you have taken two blood test and hpt test and they all say negative if you are going to a OB then he should have the vaginal ultra sound ones that he doe sat his office you can try and get him to give you one of those, but it is very doubtful that you are pregnant.

Didn't you already post this question?

If you had 2 periods, you probably aren't. You can bleed with emplantation at the time of your period, but won't have another session a month later.

You could be constipated. When did you last have a bowel movement. This could make you feel bloating and stomach swell.

i myself would get a second opinion quickly. i believ ultra sounds have to be given later in a pg patient go to an ob/gn. specialist. this might be what's called a false pregnacy. i would say watch what you eat -- gainning weight is not good for everyone. but 4 pds. is not too worry. good luck betty boop
