4x + 4/3 = 4/5x - 7/5
Minus 4/5x from both sides
4x - 4/5x + 4/3 = -7/5
Minus 4/3 from both sides
4x - 4/5x = -7/5 - 4/3
Multiple all the terms by 15, that will get rid of the denominators.
15(4x - 4/5x = -7/5 - 4/3)

(I used 15, because 15 is divisiable by both 3 and 5. Which are the denominators in this equation.)

Which is...
60x - 12x = -21 - 20
Add it together
48x = -41
Divide both sides by 48, because you want the x to be alone.
(48x = -41)/48
So, the answer comes out to be:

x = -41/48

combine like terms:
4x-4/5x=-4/3-7/5
add or subtract:
20x-4x/5= -21-20/15
26/5x=-41/5, then cross multiply
390x= -205
x= -205/390
x= -.526

15 times your equation is:

60x + 20 = 12x - 21
(60 - 12) x = - (21 + 20 )

x = - 41 / 48

you need to combine like terms... get your variable on the same side... then solve for x.
