when i press shutdown or restart, i receive a dialog box that says, "End Program - EXPLORER.EXE, This program is not responding." But I have closed all programs including Windows Explorer. What caused this problem?

You've probably picked up a bug. Do a search for that program and delete it.

Hold down the power button. Could be because of spy/adware, or you might just need ram.

and also to check for virusus
