All animals are drawn to water, regardless of whether or not they have been domesticated, due to the fact that they need a "watering hole". Ever wonder why so many house cats like to hang out in the bathroom? Same reason.
I don't know if every human is "drawn to water". I am. I flew halfway across the world to stand on the banks of the River Thames, something I have always wanted to do.. but to attempt to analyze my reasoning for doing so, I couldn't even begin. Something instinctual? A past life?
And I don't know if it's just water, either. Many people are drawn to other "elements", such as forests, or fires. I know that when I see a campfire that I am transported somewhere in time- I feel so ancient- but I don't know why.
Interesting question.

Like all animals hebetate and migrate to water bodies. Water is one major source and resource on this earth that facilitates life systems and may be we are drawn towards it despite having taps and baths at home.
Esthetically humans are fascinated by water what with its abundance, force, and absence and amazed by the water cycle. Getting wet in rain is a tickling sensation and watching a waterfalls and confluences of rivers into sea, meeting of rivers are natural wonders, a feast to the eye. We ourselves are 80% water. Ironically the surface tension of water draws objects towards water, in water we reach for the surface and while on land we are drawn to water.

I think because water has so many uses and the human body is made up of part water. We can swim in the water, bathe in the water, surf the water, use water to cook with.

LOL youmust have been watching a small child just after a rainstorm.......the amount that they are drawn to the puddle equates to the newness of the shoes and the moms desire for them to keep the shoes dry!!!!
Although I am drawn to waterfalls myslef.

It is so peaceful yet so powerful at the same time. There is nothing more tranquil than a walk on the beach. It seems like your mind gets cleared and you just feel renewed after some time around the ocean.

I sure am. I find it irresistible. Especially in a sailboat so there's not engine noise. Just the sound of the water and wind

Personally, I love to sit by the ocean because the rolling and crashing of the waves reminds me of the earth's heartbeat, and it takes my mind to other places. I love to look at a lake because it holds calmness and mystery and beauty all at once. The power of waterfalls simply amaze me. My Jacuzzi...it's all of the above.

I think because of its peacefulness and just relaxing quality of the waves crashing on shore and the ripples in the water because of the current.

Water is calming, it may subconsciously remind us of being in the womb surrounded by water.
