I've known this guy all my life but recently we started messing around. things between us happened kind of fast about 2-3 wks after messing around he asked me to be his girlfriend then like 2 mnths later he decided it wasn't what he wanted. i felt everything happened fast and he just punked out. we never stopped messing around though....but it's been like 5mnths. i thought he would be over it by now but he's not. he says when he's ready i'll probably be the one but he's just not ready

Depends on how long you have been with him/her. If it is early in the relationship, then relax and just enjoy dating. If you have been together for awhile and they do not know, then this is not a good sign.

this is one thing I do not understand .. my sister in-law is doing the same thing to her husband .. think aobut it .. Either you want to be with that person or you don't .. I believe it's all a front to see if they can find some one better or not . If not they still have you hanging around . It also gives them a right to mess around .move on ..

Why should it be the other person doing all the deciding? I'd take hold of the reigns, make my own decision then the other person can either live with it or get lost!

I would not wait at all, you deserve to be happy also. It sounds like he has made up his mind.
