If you experience this all the time, and people actually drive up to you, then it's probably more than just condensation - that should clear pretty quickly. It could be the head gasket, like others suggested, it could also be a blown piston ring so that the car is burning oil. Do you know where that oil leak is that you're already aware of? Worst case scenario is a cracked engine block with oil leaking both into the cylinders and to the outside. I'd definitely have a competent and trustworthy shop look at it.

The most common reason for this is acumulated condensation in the exhaust pipe and muffler. As the hot exhaust gases are going thru the exhaust pipe, it heats this condensation and creates a fowl smelling smoke. On the Eclipse, especially those that have aftermarket exhaust systems, the muffler is angled/tilted up toward the back of the car. The promotes condensation in the muffler after the car has been turned off, and after the car has been thru a car wash. Drive the car on the highway for an hour and immediately after, check the exhaust again. There shouldn't be any white or dark gray smoke. If there is, you have a head gasket or valve guide seal issue. Hope it is just normal condensation. Good luck!

Okay, here goes.... this is going to be one of those things that people are going to guess at, but nobody can know unless they can test and see what your problems are... If you have oil leaking on the ground, and smoke coming out of the tailpipe, you have two different problems. If you are adding oil, and don't know where it is going, then there is a good possibility your engine is burning it. That would make smoke come out of the tailpipe.
What you need to do is take the car to a shop that you trust and explain to them in good detail what is going on... so that they know what it takes to get the car to smoke instead of them guessing at it. But that's the only way you are going to know for sure. Hope that helps.

the liquid is just condensation build up that's normal w/ all exhausts.
the smoke could be a # of things though. you may have coolant leaking into the combustion chamber or worn piston rings.
If it's oil, the smoke would smell like burnt oil, if it's gas the smoke will have a bluish tint to it.
you need a shop to look at it

i own a repair shop, and normal condensation can be expected from it ,,id check all the coolant in it and see if its low on it, if so you may have a leaking head gasket on it, but if your not having any trouble from it at all it may just be normal condensation coming from it ,,if it if its oil smoke it will smell really bad and you will have to add oil to it every once in a while.its not normal for one to smoke from oil,if it is doing this its using oil and that will make a real bad color of smoke, and smell really bad this means there are problems in side of the engine,id have a real good mechanic check it,,take it to someone WHO knows a lot about cars ,and they can help you tell whether or not its oil if it is it will have to be repaired, good luck i hope this help,s you.

SImple drain off gas which ignites and causes smoke. Try a new fuel ingector. The liquid would probably be the evaporation of the gas that condensates and collects then drains out. Good luck.

alright, well how does the smoke smell? if it smells sweet then its anitfreeze, if it smells bad like a dumptrucks exhaust then its your oil burning off from your oil leak. Oil is getting into the ports and chamber and combusting and burning off with the gasoline. Are you losking any antifreeze? if you are and thats what burning then check your head gasket.

it might be your cat. converter, go to a muffler shop or a mechanic and ask them to run the diagnostic tests for it... your injectors might be messed up too and might be dumping too much fuel into the engine and forcing the fuel out of the exhaust and causing a smoke to come from the exhaust penzoil offers a carbon build up detergent so you may want to ask about that
