What do you think about this customer service sign idea posted in front of the store on a window?Customers who complain are our best freinds because it helps us to improve our business.I use to work in a department store myself and would it be better to have that posted in the breakroom not in front of the public eye?

The choice of words is poor: I would never use the word "complain" - perhaps "offer suggestions". Otherwise it would appear the store is opening asking for abuse.

I would agree with you that any sign of that nature would be better in a break room or on the general employee bulletin board. If I observed this sign posted in front of a local store, I would personally ask to speak to the manager and point out my observations. I am very open that way and have made such suggestions to many local establishments with mixed results: some stores improve the situation by having additional training meetings, etc., while others ignore the comments and lose my business along with the business of others I overhear in line, parking lots, etc., who comment loudly on the shortcomings of the store.

It would be better in the break room...although I wonder how long it would hang there before someone takes it down in anger...

Just a little suggestion to those who like to complain...be professional about it. Don't yell, curse or scream at the cashiers they don't set the prices, change the prices or try to "scam" you 99% of the time(there are always some that are dishonest). They also can't control how many cashiers are working! It is not their fault if your credit card doesn't work or your debit card is declined.... Most are just trying to make an honest living to stay off of welfare. Christmas is coming and they are here to help you make your holiday's special...Please treat them with the respect they deserve and all will have a nicer Holiday.
