Rule Number 1...never lend friends money if you wish to remain friends!
I would go round and say tell her you were good enough to lend her the money so she should be good enough to pay it back. Don't give her notice that you're coming...just turn up. Don't get nasty about it because then she'll feel put out and she'll just think "well stuff him" and will make her adament that you're not getting a penny!
You have to handle this properly and calmly. If all else fails, £500 is a lot of money to lose but maybe this is a harsh lesson to learn.
My mam always said, don't lend money to anyone because it will always end in tears, and she is right. I know, because i proved her right on many occasions and lost many friends and pennies on the way

If you had a verbal agreement then you are out of luck legally as you can't prove it, unless: you wrote a check with her name on it and also indicated "personal loan" or there are witnesses who will attest in your favor. Then go to court!
If you had a written contract then warn her that you will go to court if she doesn't pay within 7 days.
You may never see the money again so LEARN A LESSON GIRL!
Never lend money to anyone (family or friends) who is a bad risk.
If you do then write out a "legal" contract that indicates the payments and length of time for repayment. If they balk at that they don't need the money that bad. They will agree to the terms if they do need the money.
Good Luck

You could take har to a small claims court as long as you ahve a witness to the lending of money then you should have no problem. It would be best to threaten your old friend with this first because the loser always has to pay the court fees which can bee almost tripple the owed amount

Be very polite and ask her if she forgot the money. Or Plan B ask her to purchase something you like and tell him/her that that way the money you owe could be nulled, or say after which you will owe me basically this lots...or i will owe you this lots reckoning on the quantity. I desire you stated how lots does your buddy owe. whether it quite is a sizable volume you may ask for it...whether it quite is a small volume basically think of it to hitch investment in friendship. Thirdly- attempt remembering in case you owed in previous too.

i would say either pop round out the blue and pick it up or if you are no longer friends let the money go with the bad vibes.
Remember that what goes around will come around and someone will do them over but worse then she did to you

Short of going to the small claims court, I don't think you realistically stand much of a chance of getting this money back, I'm afraid. I would make sure that everyone who knows you both are aware of what's happened in case she tries it on with them and then put it down to experience.

You have 3 options:
A) Call her and tell her you want the money back. If she gives you a hard time, tell her your going to take her to court to get back the 500 bucks.
B) Take her to court no matter what.
C) Forget about it. You learned an important lesson, don't give anyone money!

we have all had these kinda friends. Its quite a lot of money to lose but it looks like you're never gonna see the cash again so you have 2 options.
1. Forget about it and move on
2. Get revenge so at least you feel compensated in this way
your call!!!

if you are not friends anymore than the job is real easy. go to her home unannounced and in front of her co- workers or her family embarass her.use gandhigiri!between people you and that person knows share this info in a way that makes you look as the greater one.bring up money in your talks and tell every1 she knows that you did a favor to her by lending her money.also make it a point to mention that any person who doesnot return lended money is shameless and really untrustworthy.then one day tell her that you neeed the money even if you dont and tell her its really necessary and even after that she is shameless enough to say that she is busy. tell her in sweetest possible way that she is a real loser not to help you out. best advice is to embarass her in front of her family and friends!hope it helps
