Nice quote, but what is the purpose of it? Maybe I don't agree in the first place that "it is ok to laugh at people". Would rather go for "If you want to laugh at people, why don't you first laugh at yourself?" Again, I still don't see the purpose of such a quote. Perhaps I lack a good sense of humour?
Anyway, pardon me for being frank too, but I have a problem with this coming under this heading, because this is apparently not Psychology.

If you laugh at people all the time then you probably have such low self esteem that laughing at yourself would cause you to spin out of control. I say laugh at yourself- it's the only thing that will get you through, and laugh WITH others- it's the only other thing that will get you through.

I agree completely ... If you laugh at yourself it means you are wise. If you only laugh at people and you don't see yourself you are dumb and arrogant.

When we laugh at people it is exactly the same as laughing at ourselves since we see ourselves in these people whom got our attention.. So no need to laugh at ourselves we already did..

I think it's true.. you should laugh at yourself sometimes..at the weird stupid things you do... b/c everyone has their stupid moments even if they don't admit it....
