I got my heart broken a few years back, it hurt so bad I convinced myself that being alone was the best thing for me.
However just recently I've been getting a bit depressed about the situation - and that's great!
By feeling sad about being alone, it means some part of me wants to find "love", it means I'm not half as dead inside as I had once feared.
Embrace being a sad romantic fool, it's when you DON'T winge about it any more that you should start to worry :-)

We all want to be loved and fall in love...then you do...and it's nice for a while....then you get possessive and jealous and doubt comes into your life. For years you tussle with your emotions until oneday you don't care anymore, you are completely numb to anymore mental abuse....you part and you are glad that you are alone and can do what ever you want with who ever you want! Yippppppppeeeeee! Please enjoy your life first....get a great job, nice house and fast car....enjoooooy!
