My wife works for Lane Bryant and she says that their brassieres are pretty good she is a 42DD, also try Firm Foundations my wife has ordered from there as well. They are a bit more pricey but she is satisfied with their products. However, as her husband I must admit...the Lane Bryant bras are very sexy.
Lane Bryant carries sizes 36C-48DDD, F, G and H.

You are not going to find one very easily. I was at a 40 C/D for a while and could not find anything. Once you get over that size 38, they all turn into granny bras. I found a few worth wearing at the big depaertment stores (Macy's, Dillards, Kohl's), but it takes forever, trying on many many bras. And feeling horrible about my body the entire time. I really really tried and lost weight to get back down into that size 38 range so I could ditch the old lady bras.

A 40 b is a fairly common size. You can always find something attractive at fredericks or victoria secrets.

No. I, for one, surely don't know. Manufacturers just don't make them pretty. Have you looked for the garment at Victoria's Secret? They may have something there you may like.

I actually bought my wife her 40DD bra from Fredricks of Hollywood, and it actually looks very nice on her.
